Morality

I'm taking a workshop with Diane Berke on "Boundless Love" through my seminary. We talked last week about moral behavior. In a handout for the week, she shared this quiote from Rabbi Judah haNassi:

Remember three things and you will not err:

If your deeds shouldn't be known, perhaps the shouldn't be done.

If yur words shouldn't be shared, perhaps they shouldn't be spoken.

Act with attention, for all your deeds have consequences.

Wow! A helpful guide in this fractured world. I will try to keep this advice in mind each moment. Thank you, Rabbi!
